What Our Guests Say

Anne's place was wonderful! The few days we spent there were peaceful and relaxing. The railway crossing worried us initially, but it turned out to be simple and easy to navigate after the first time.
We explored the surrounding area, enjoying a couple of scenic walks around the cottage. A stroll to the nearby pub was a highlight, it’s a fantastic spot to unwind. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a place to stay while visiting my mother in law who is in a nursing home with terminal cancer and this little cottage was absolutely idyllic to come back to after what could be a difficult visit. The cottage is in a perfect location, very quiet and calming. It is well furnished and a lot of attention to detail with first class furnishing and spotlessly clean. The host kept in contact over the course of the stay and was very responsive. We also loved that there was a pub within 10 min walk ,The Boatside Inn, where we had a lovely meal on Christmas Eve and then stayed on for a few drinks. We found the locals very welcoming. Perfect location to switch off but not far from main town Hexham which is worth a visit for its lovely historic buildings and also Corbridge which is one our favourite locations. One of my favourite Airbnb’s and would definitely go back for a switch off visit.

It’s called “Quality Cottage”, and does exactly what it says on the tin. An idyllic location, with absolutely 1st class facilities, finished to the highest of standards. A quiet and calming retreat, yet only a few minutes walk to a lovely country pub. The Boatside, that serves wholesome pub food.

We enjoyed some lovely walks which are quite literally on the doorstep, our favourite was a walk up to Humshaugh, 10 mile round trip, which included a lovely pit stop in The Crown pub, scampi is delicious! We also enjoyed the circular route around four stones and back along the Tyne Trail. There are so many walks in the area, we’ve already arranged our next stay, 10/10, cannot find any fault at all.
